Takes 12 and 14 in. blades with a 12 in. blade included, and holds continuous rim, turbo and segmented types. 2 mW Class 2 laser tracer plus a spirit level. How to choose

Measure the diagonal of your largest tile, not its edge. A 36 in. cut length on the DT-10 MAX covers a 25 in. diagonal, which handles most 12 x 24 in. work but not a 48 in. plank. For 48 in. and 60 in. formats, start at the DC-250-1200 PYTHON and move up to the DS-250-N 1500. If you need to start a cut in the middle of a piece, the DX-350 N plunge effect is the only option in the range.

What cut length do I need for large-format tile?

Work from the diagonal. The DT-10 MAX cuts 36 in., which RUBI rates as a 25 in. maximum diagonal format. A 48 in. plank needs the DC-250-1200 PYTHON at 47.75 in. or longer, and 60 in. work needs the DS-250-N 1500 at 59.84 in.

Which of these saws cuts mitres?

All three families do, with different limits. The DS-250-N range is the mitre specialist with a 3 hp motor and a high-accuracy mobile head. The DC-250 PYTHON mitres pieces up to 42.5 in. and its square adjusts to 60 degrees. The DT-10 MAX head tilts 22.5 and 45 degrees in material up to 1.1 in. thick.

Does the DX-350 N need a special outlet?

Yes. It is supplied with an L5-30 amp plug and requires an L5-30 amp outlet to run. Confirm the circuit on site before the saw ships, because a standard household outlet will not power it.

What blade is included, and what else fits?

The DT-10 MAX and the DC-250-1200 PYTHON each include a 10 in. ARROWHEAD blade, ref 31900 on the PYTHON. The DS-250-N models include a 10 in. blade. The DX-350 N includes a 12 in. blade and runs 12 or 14 in. discs, and its guard accepts continuous rim, turbo and segmented types. Replacements and material-specific discs are in diamond blades.

Do I need a wet saw if I already own a manual cutter?

For straight cuts in standard ceramic, a manual cutter is faster and quieter. A wet saw earns its place on porcelain, natural stone, thick material, plunge cuts, mitres and L-cuts that a scoring wheel cannot make. Most working installers run both.
