Novopeldaño® MINI is a stair nosing solution from the new  EMAC®’s MINI Collection. It is a profile with a deformed fixing  wing with wedge geometry which ensures its fixation both with adhesive mortar and screws. The height of the profile allows it to be  installed with floorings up to 6,2 mm thickness. Its minimalist and  elegant design enables a trendy staircase without visible profiles in  the tread and a minimum visible line in the riser. Available in matt silver and matt black colors

Materials

Novopeldaño® MINI is a profile made by extrusion of aluminium. The anodizing process improves  the corrosion resistance, mechanical resistance and appearance of profiles. It has the quality seal  Qualanod, which guarantees the quality of the process and the resulting profiles. This seal regulates several tests: appearance and color, thickness measurements, sealing and impregnation control,  abrasion resistance, lightfastness, acetic saline chamber and nitric acid immersion. The aluminium has excellent chemical, physical and mechanical properties. It is lightweight, tough,  ductile, malleable and highly durable

Installation

1. Spread a big amount of adhesive material on the surface of the riser
2. Place the coating pieces on the riser and press them to get an optimal adherence.
3. Then, spread a big amount of adhesive mortar on the tread and align the profile to its vertex so it rests on the riser (Do not let overhang, the leverage may remove the step and the tiles). Then press  it to let the adhesive mortar pass through the holes of the anchoring wing.
4. Place a piece of coating on the tread, align it to the profile and press them to get a perfect adhesion. You can tap it softly with a rubber hammer
5. Clean the possible leftover material and let dry.
